A class action securities lawsuit has been filed against Lamb Weston alleging that the Company made materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose material adverse facts about the Company's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, the lawsuit alleges that defendants failed to disclose to investors:
- That the Company was experiencing production issues at its Pasco, Washington facility
- That the production issues were impacting the Company's ability to meet customer demand
- That, as a result of the production issues, the Company was reasonably likely to miss its financial projections
On April 26, 2023, Lamb Weston issued a press release announcing that the Company would miss its financial projections for the third quarter of 2023. The Company cited the production issues at its Pasco, Washington facility as the reason for the shortfall. On this news, the Company's stock price fell by over 10%, causing investors significant losses.
The Class Period commences on October 31, 2022, the date the Company issued a press release announcing strong financial results for the second quarter of 2023, and ends on April 25, 2023, the date the Company issued a press release announcing that it would miss its financial projections for the third quarter of 2023.
