Early Life and Career
Colin Kelly Jost, pronounced "djohst," was born on June 29, 1982, in Staten Island, New York City. He began his comedy career while attending Harvard University, where he was a member of the improvisational comedy group, the Harvard Lampoon. After graduating, Jost moved to Los Angeles, where he wrote for various comedy shows, including "Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update Thursday" and "The Daily Show."
Success on Saturday Night Live
In 2005, Jost joined the writing staff of "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). He quickly became a popular figure on the show, known for his sharp wit and satirical takes on current events.
